Mr. Jaskille focuses his practice on labor and employment law matters, including counseling, mediation, investigation, and adjudication of complaints.  He also has extensive experience in drafting and enforcing company’s rules and policies of employment, and counseling in said matters.

 

As Attorney Advisor in the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Mr. Jaskille drafted a proposed regulation recognizing disparate impact under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and providing “reasonable factors other than age” as the employer’s defense.  He reviewed EEOC’s Compliance Manuals, Enforcement Guidance, and updated Chapter 7 on race discrimination. As advisor to two Chairs and various Commissioners, Mr. Jaskille approved ADA proposed litigations, adjudicated Final Agency Decisions arising on appeal from federal agencies throughout the U.S., launched a Freedom of Information Act National Spanish Call Center, conducted mediations and investigations on behalf of the Commission, provided EEO training throughout the Nation, reviewed rules and procedures from private sector employers to ensure compliance and best practices, and drafted Reports of the Investigation, Q&As, Guidance Letters, and EEO updates on recent case law.

 

In 2009, upon resigning to the EEOC and obtaining an LL.M. in Labor and Employment Law and a Graduate Certificate on Employee Benefits at the Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Jaskille started consulting over 10 federal agencies, including the three largest: DOD, DHS, and USDA.  By 2012, he was contracted by Latham & Watkins, White & Case, Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris, Steptoe & Johnson, and other international law firms to conduct investigations and trial work for different clients throughout Latin America.  Mr. Jaskille served as outside counsel for various Fortune 100 companies and represented them in State, Federal, and Administrative courts.  In 2014, Mr. Jaskille and key personnel incorporated into AmeriCounsel, LLC to bid in government contracts and to establish an official presence with GSA and across the Americas.

 

Mr. Jaskille is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, an avid piano player and triathlete.  He is the former Vice President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Washington, D.C., Co-Chair of the American Heart Association’s PULSE division, Board Member of the Boy Scouts of America’s Hispanic Leadership Award, and was recognized as a Rising Legal Star by the Hispanic Bar Association of Washington, D.C.; Top Attorneys Under the Age of 40 finalist by the HNBA, You are a Star by the EEOC and has been keynote at various events and conferences in the U.S. District Court, District of D.C., and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
